She’s a remarkable young lady who has been in the news for all the right reasons and the wrong reasons. She’s mother to daughter Stormi and has achieved more in her young life than many of us can hope to achieve in all our time on this earth. A family that used their show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians to establish Business Empires. Reality TV has seldom been used in such a savvy manner. The Kardashian clan, Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, Rob, Kylie, Kendall, Kris and Bruce (now known as Caitlyn) are well-known figures in the USA, and now, thanks to the new age of social media, all over the world.

As Kendall and Kylie were growing up, they were increasingly branded together. Always they were considered part of a team. They had even started their own clothing line together. Having a separate identity, in the beginning, was difficult. But Kylie Jenner always harboured a dream. As early as 2015, in interviews, she started saying in interviews that her only desire was to start a makeup line. So, when Kendall started going down the legitimate modelling route, Kylie decided it was time to do her own thing as well.

She grossly underestimated herself because they sold out within seconds. Since she started out three years ago, she has expanded her cosmetics range to include highlighters, blush etc.

Kris Jenner was an instrumental part of the behind the scenes action of developing Kylie’s range. She was the one who taught her daughter about the production of it and ultimately rope in Shopify, their online partner to sell Kylie Cosmetics. In 2016, they launched six shades and produced around 500,000 kits. Seed Beauty, once again, roped in by Kris, handles all the production. But apart from this, Kylie has only 12 staff members, 7 of whom are permanent. All this business savvy contributes to how Kylie Jenner is becoming the youngest self-made billionaire the world has ever seen.

Kylie saves on a lot of costs by selling her makeup mostly online. In addition to that, she doesn’t need to pay anyone for advertising, because she has 111 million Instagram followers. She puts up a post and all her followers see it and want whatever she is wearing. She is her brand’s biggest asset.
